Mukta Sukti Pishti – Ayurvedic Classical Medicine:

Mukta Sukti Pishti is an Ayurvedic name for pearl oyster shells. Mukta sukti preparations are beneficial in heartburn, sour taste in mouth, dyspepsia (indigestion), abdominal pain, and pain in liver, anorexia nervosa, loss of appetite, cough, calcium deficiency, osteoporosis, osteopenia, etc., It is also used in abdominal pain, gastritis, diarrhea, acid peptic disorders, toxic condition, and spleen related diseases. It has sweet and pungent in taste, improves digestion power and has a calming effect on the stomach.

Pearl oyster

Purification of Mukta Sukti Pishti (Pearl Oyster Shell):

Mukta Sukti Pishti (pearl oyster shell) is dipped into buttermilk for three days. Buttermilk is changed every day. The uncovered vessel should be placed under the sunlight during the day. After three days, Pearl oyster shell is washed with warm water. The black part on the back of the pearl oyster shell should be removed using a knife or any other.

Uses:

It has Antiarrhythmic, Anti-arthritic, Antihistaminic, Anti-inflammatory, Antioxidant, Antitussive activity.

It is beneficial in heartburn, sour taste in the mouth, dyspepsia (indigestion), abdominal pain, and pain in the liver, anorexia nervosa, loss of appetite, cough, calcium deficiency, osteoporosis, osteopenia, etc.

Indication of Mukta Sukti Pishti:

Mukta Sukti Pishti is useful in the treatment of bronchitis, heart diseases, abdominal pain, gastritis, diarrhea, acid peptic disorders, toxic condition, and spleen related diseases. It has sweet and pungent in taste, improves digestion power and has a calming effect on the stomach.

Side Effects:

There are no known side effects with this product have been reported.

Dosage:

125 To 250 mg to be taken twice in a day with water or as directed by the physician.
