Asphaltum is a natural mineral rich in healing qualities that is found and picked in the rocks of the Himalayas during hot weather and is a mass of organic vegetable matter mixed fibres and earth matter.
And it must be good and natural because the Monkeys that inhabit the region eat it also to cure ailments and most of our evolutionary cousins go onto live to a ripe old age!!
This unusual and in many parts of the world largely little known and seldom used fungus, complete with its own unique and slightly unpleasantly pungent aroma, is very high in healing properties. Indeed it is claimed by doctors in the know to be able to cure most ailments. Which is some boast!!
Asphaltum does have some remarkable powers and is an extract that can be used to clear ailments from the whole spectrum of bodily dysfunction.
It can used as an antiseptic, laxative, rejuvenation tonic, respiratory stimulant, disinfectant, aphrodisiac and diuretic, amongst others and those are just the ones people have tried!!
The diseases and complaints it is said to either cure totally or alleviate are:-
-
Epilepsy
-
Obesity
-
Kidney disorders
-
Menstrual problems
-
Asthma
-
Hemorrhoids
-
Jaundice
-
Sexually transmitted diseases
Asphaltum is particularly important in treating diabetes, where it has a good record of treatment of secondary diseases arising from diabetes, renal stones, bladder and urinary disorders, TB, leprosy, bronchitis, anemia and general debility.
It is even said to have the powers to heal bone fractures and too even cure insanity, but maybe here it is best to treat such claims as slightly insane in themselves!!
The recommended dosage and best way to ingest Asphaltum Shilajit is a quarter of a teaspoon in a glass of milk three times a day. This constitutes a medium dose, if you feel your symptoms are particularly severe it is advised to slightly up the prescribed measurement to a teaspoon per ingestion.
Though Asphaltum is claimed to have tremendous healing powers and it is undoubtedly a very fine treatment for some disorders if maybe not quite as many as its supporters
